Shillings are the in-game currency of Fayhaven. They can be used to purchase goods and services and ultimately gain power and influence within the game.

There are many ways to acquire shillings within the game. Below are just a few examples:

• Quests – Whether helping someone find a misplaced invisibility cloak or gathering your friends to slay a troll, questing can be a very lucrative venture.

• Competitions – There are many competitions to participate in that reward the winners with a pouch of shillings. Such competitions include archery, combat, crafting, performing, cooking, and more.

• Gambling – Whether it’s betting on dice, cards, or other games of chance, or betting on fighters in the arena, gambling can be a fun way to fill (or empty) your purse with shillings.

• Looting – Players who choose the Rogue character class can loot downed monsters, bandits, and other NPCs.

• Selling goods – Whether it’s hand-made items, baked goods, or LARP weapons and accessories you no longer need, selling goods to other players can be a great way to gain more shillings.

• Providing services – Every character class in the game is equipped with unique abilities that make them valuable to others. Whether it’s your ability to heal others, pick locks, defeat enemies, or cast spells, consider charging a few shillings for your services.

• Performing – Whether it’s playing music, dancing, or telling stories, you might just get some shillings tossed your way.

• Quests – Some quests require you to pay to unlock them. Upon successful completion of the quest, you will receive back what you paid and much more.

• Competitions – Some competitions require an entry fee to participate.

• Purchasing goods – The town marketplace has many shops where you can spend shillings to purchase weapons, clothing, accessories, and more (these purchased items are truly yours, and you take them home with you after the event).

• Paying for Services – Want to assemble the most skilled adventuring party in the realm to aid you in your quests? Their expert services may cost you more than a few shillings. Need help carrying supplies back to your camp? A few shillings may entice some players to help you. Afraid of entering the Gristwood alone? Hiring a few bodyguards could be a good investment of your shillings.

• The Tavern – Beverages and snacks at the tavern can be a tasty way to spend a few shillings.
