Volunteering

Volunteering at Fayhaven LARP is an opportunity to engage with the world in a unique way, allowing you to play a crucial part in the incredible stories of the event while receiving a discount on your ticket for your efforts. Below are several ways you can volunteer at the event.

Teardown

Helping with post event teardown will encompass a variety of tasks. The commitment will be from 12:00pm to 2:00pm on Sunday, after the end of the event. Likely tasks will include assisting staff members with disassembly, collecting trash from the game and camp areas, and other miscellaneous tasks. There are a limited number of slots available for teardown volunteers. If you are interested, email us at contact@fayhavenlarp.com and we will provide you with a $25 discount on your ticket.

NPC

Non-Player Character (NPC) Volunteers will be working with staff members to fill various roles within the world of Fayhaven. Primarily, these roles will be as enemies of the PCs (Player Characters) such as bandits or orcs. These NPCs will be following guidelines within an encounter to engage and challenge the players participating in quests. These NPC roles can be very dynamic, with staff members guiding the encounters to provide a positive and entertaining experience for everyone involved. As an NPC, regardless of what role you are playing, the primary goal is to help make dramatic, unique, and fun memories for the players you interact with. This may mean intentionally losing a fight you could win, or attacking a player you normally would avoid. Above all, the goal of an NPC is to direct the “spotlight” to the players and to provide memorable interactions. There will be up to 5 different 2-hour shifts available for NPCs to sign up for. To volunteer as an NPC, you will be required to assemble your own orc kit or bandit kit (or both) which will need to meet aesthetic approval requirements. There will be a mandatory online training for those who are signed up as volunteers. If you are interested, email us at contact@fayhavenlarp.com and we will provide you with more information on kit requirements and further details. For NPCing, you will receive a $10 discount (bandits) or a $15 discount (orcs) on your ticket for each additional timeslot you would like to sign up for.
