Elf Costume Guide

Before attending Fayhaven, all garb, armor, weapons, and gear must be staff-approved. This can be done by sending in pictures via email (contact@fayhavenlarp.com). Pictures can be of the whole kit or of individual items. We encourage players to submit their plans for homemade or commissioned items before investing in them, to be sure that they match the garb requirements.

Aesthetic Influences

The Elven people are ancient, and love all things that are crafted with care and will last the many ages of the world. They are inclined toward flowing, organic shapes, and their clothing emphasizes long lines. Narrow skirts and trousers, high necklines, long sleeves, tapering tunics, and simple, elegant embroidery all reflect the style seen in Elven fashion.  Elven nobility gravitate toward colors that remind them of the skies, such as silver, gold, and blue. Working class or warrior Elves often gravitate toward more natural, drab tones, and may wear more utilitarian versions of the Elven silhouette. Long robes in more costly fabrics often differentiate noble Elves, with the inclusion of delicate circlets or other nature-inspired jewelry. Elven fashion can be seen as elegant fantasy garb taking inspiration from 12th century Europe. Elves have naturally pointed ears in a leaf-like shape.
